Okay, another innocent question.
Which is your favorite pony? |

I think he answered earlier, saying it was Twilight Sparkle. |

| I think the only staff's favorite we don't know is Andy's now? Unless that answer is hiding somewhere. |

I think Andy's favorite is Princess Luna.
Are you going to edit the 6-issue micro-series or is that someone else? |

Twilight's def not my favorite... Katie's though I think.
Applejack is my standard pick, but in the comic... honestly Andy's depictions of Fluttershy have been making me laugh the most, so it might be her in the comic. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

I'll take it where I can get it!
So, you're story editing for the Micros as well? What are the challenges when you're editing what is in effect a single-issue standalone story as opposed to an arc? |

I don't even think Blank cover is a Phantom Variant...
They would flood up their twitter about "hey bronies, we have PhantomVariant MLP comic, buy our comic" or something like that if it is. |

I don't think so either (as I stated myself earlier).
I'm just saying if what both Bobby (with his list of variant covers) and Larry (with his plans with the Phantom Variant) said are true, then we can conclude one of 3 things.
- The the blank variant for Issue 2 was (at one point) going to be a Phantom Variant, but got canceled due to whatever reason
- That Larry simply got ahead of himself when saying there was going to be a Phantom Variant for Issue 2-4
- Larry simply meant that he is interested in doing a Phantom Variant for one of the issues of the comic
Regardless of whatever is the actual reason, this isn't the place to discuss it. Perhaps we should move it to the Variant Cover thread. _________________

Eagle, in regards to your question-
There's no big difference, just less space. But the story still needs a beginning, middle and end. The biggest difference is the focus... as opposed to a grand adventure involving all of the Ponies, these micros will focus on each individual... so the trick is figuring out how best to say something interesting about the given pony, and make it interesting.
I like one shot stories a lot... I've done one-shot series for both Godzilla and TMNT. It's a fun opportunity to dig a little deeper into a character's mind. Also, I'm a big fan of different types of art, so it's a good chance to get different artists involved. Although THAT'S a bit of a hassle... organizing six different creative teams instead of one. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

Hey Bobby! In terms of the micro-series, is there a possibility that it will extend beyond the Mane 6? Or is that not going to be possible?
I'm sure fans of the show (and soon to be comic) would love to see what you guys can make of the various side and background ponies/characters. Not to mention there seems to be a lot of potential in taking closer look at the various villains of the show! _________________

Hi noted,
Yeah, there's no set plans for that, but it's certainly a possibility. Over in TMNT land, we did micros for the main Turtles, then the supporting allies, and now we're going to do some villains. So I like that approach.
Assuming Pony continues to sell well, there's all sorts of potential. Too early to say how it will shake out, but whatever it is, should be fun. _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

| What are the challenges of creating an original villain for the comics as opposed to using one for the show? Is the relative creative freedom relieving when compared to trying to expand upon a set-base villain, or is working within the bounds of the universe constraining in terms of creativity? |
