Yes I know the year isnt quite up yet but its a safe bet to say that the last few issues will be of the same high standard we have had all year. But is/was 2012 the best year ever for Tf comics?

We have had some truly memorable issues in MTMTE and RiD.

We had the return of the annuals

We have had the return of the original classic Tf stories and the clash to end all clashes between Optimus and Megatron.

We have had the great Autocracy too delving into Optimus Prime/Orion Pax' past.

We have had everything. Spotlights return in december too.

The question is this consistently the best year ever. Is it better then the glory days of Marvel UK/US. Is the best year ever for IDW Tfs at least?

I think the answer is yes its been the best year. How can 2013 top this?

But thats just my opinion. What do you think?

Best year was 1986/87. Had ongoing, had Headmasters limited series, had Transformers Universe comic, GI Joe v. Transformers, Movie adaptation. Good times.

but this is pretty good too.

I think 2012 is/was a great precursor for 2013, which I believe is going to be epic!

No way. I think 1986 was the best year ever for TF comics - Marvel UK #42-93 for goodness sake!

I'm afraid I don't even think this is the best year for IDW, though its probably a close second. I'd say 2006 - with all the hope and optimism (no matter how ultimately unfounded) around the relaunch, it was a great time.

Some ideas to improve the comic: One: Drift needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine. Two: whenever Drift's not in an issue, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Drift"?
