Also: I get my comics a week or so later than most and I avoid spoilers, so expect the list to be updated appropriately. Currently updated up to and including Spotlight: Blaster. Each arc gets its own category. Spotlights get a category to themselves, and are currently grouped together into clumps that are separated by a short gap in publication.

The cast is divided up into groups. Firstly, Autobot, Decepticon, Human, or Other Sentients. From there on we get their military grouping, if known or if appropriate. There are a lot of Tactical Response Units and Tactical Assault Units, and unless the group has a name assigned to them in the text (eg. Dynobots, Wreckers) then they get categorised to their station, like Earth or Nebulos. Each military grouping has a Unit Commander, which is denoted before the character’s name.

After each character is listed, there’s some information in brackets. This will tell the last reported sighting of the character within the story arc. Megatron was on Cybertron in flashbacks during Stormbringer, but he ended up in the Nebraska bunker on Earth, so that’s what is listed. It will also be noted whether the character was DEACTIVED (for mechs, implies possible reactivation) or KILLED (for us organics, probably doesn’t allow for resurrection, unless the apparent death was only that). Facsimiles shall be listed as DECOMMISSIONED because it is fun. After that will be a note as to whether they appeared in a time previous to the main chronology, if they had only a non-speaking role in the arc, or were only name-checked without an actual appearance. After the brackets, it is noted if this listing of the character is his or her first appearance.

Locations are fairly self-explanatory. They are listed in descending order of magnitude, from galactic features down to highways. Planets get bold text, and will be accompanied by their solar system if it has been identified.

Tech is a listing of any technological artefact or known science listed in the text. Each tech item will have the best guess of its origins in brackets after its name. If it is apparently Cybertronian in origin, the faction that is shown to use it will be listed.

Deities / Invocations is an irregularly-used field wherein any mentions are made of mythological or supernatural entities. So far, all of these are exclamations or oaths. The brackets that follow an invocation state the character or character that mentioned them.

It's okay with me. List duly updated.

I've also stuck a 'Time settings' part in there, but it's a little awkward right now and probably not of much use before some more solid information about the timescale makes its way into publication. I've also made note of each character's first appearance, which should come in handy later on when people can gain easy satisfaction from saying things like, "Blaster actually FIRST appeared in Stormbringer #1! What he's been doing since then and his first SPEAKING appearance in Conflagation #6 is told in explicit detail in my fanfic. And I do mean explicit."

And so on.

Oh, hey: to those who have a better memory than I, so save me from digging out my Infiltration copies from out under that pile over there, can someone remind me who swore by the 'Primal Source' in Infiltration? I'm going to keep track of who utters these exclamations so that people can assemble a largely speculative cross-section of Transformer beliefs / blasphemous oaths. It's what message boards are for!
