I just just a sneak peek at the fcbd 80.5 and al I can say is OH MY GOD! I have waited 20 years for this and it did not disappoint! I can barely wait for July! Simon, Andrew! Stephen! Boom out of the park! Thank IDW for making this happen.

Exciting times ahead.

Just wait until the end of the year and we review it. So many highlights.

2012 is the best year for TF since the heady days of 1986.

I just received my copy: now that was EPIC.
The recap of the classic events mixes with the new plot as it unfolds (the events somehow remind me of RiD, but they are less diluted in pages, characters and conversations), and both the narrations reach their climax at the same time, reaching full circle.
I can't wait to read more.

Are those two Decepticons... Battletrap and Flywheels? Battletrap was supposedly dead, but maybe Cybertron's rebirth resurrected him as well. And who is the Firecon? I remember one of them died on Klo, but maybe the last Autobot resurrected him as well!

If it happened in UK issues, is it still canon?

I thought I read that G2 and UK issues were being ignored

I think it's not canon, but Furman is cunningly introducing UK elements in a "soft" way. Like Ultra Magnus being now in the cast, or one of those Decepticons I mentioned.
But my "worries" were about Marvel US events (not real worries, I'm just eager to talk about this.
There are other subtle references to UK stories, like Optimus and his "retreat" in the Nova POint building, or Kup mentioning the Wreckers.
