Thought it would be fun to do a monthly poll where we all can vote for our favourite Transformers issue of that period, so here goes. Pick your poison!
(I know some people already got their mitts on #80.5 but as that's not properly out until Free Comic Book Day, it'll go in the May poll. Keep it in your pants until then, folks!) _________________

4 great issues really, each in their own way - can you even remember the bad old days any more?
MTMTE for me this month ahead of RID... while RID, I'm sure, has plenty of threads being woven they weren't particularly interwoven this issue - it was Prowl being Prowl which was great and intentional or not it was a hilarious binning of characters and events that were 'BIG' in previous runs - Sunstorm maybe, Bombshell (pretty much) definitely and DEVestator is properly borked now!
MTMTE was just awesome though - the story at the heart of the two-parter intriguing, introducing new concepts and bringing back old characters from LSOTW (and Bullets) - all this, and further world building with Swerve, Tailgate, etc... marvellous! _________________ *All my nonsense tapped out here is okay to print*

MTMTE, providing it doesn't reverse the changes it's making. Starscream becoming a politician is much more a match for me than Ratchet becoming something akin to his Animated self/retroactively becoming Chief Medical Officer.
It just seems bolder for now. RiD is generally great, mind.
Edit: Damn, I got the names mixed-up. Whoops. Put a point on for me for Barber and Griffith. ;_; _________________ Okay to print!

I kind of feel bad for Barber and Griffith. During most of 2010-2011, I would've LOVED to have a 'main' Transformers series as good as RID, but now it's up against MTMTE. _________________ Cattleprod's guide to upcoming releases.

Any other month it would have been RiD
But for whatever reason I didn't enjoy it as much this month. Probably because the politics took a back seat. But man o man MTMTE really stepped up it's game this month
The first 3 issues seemed to be setting things up. Issue 4 was the first one that really grabbed me and said Get working on that time machine, because waiting a month is going to kill you
Autocracy is good, but each issue is too short for me to compare against MTMTE or RiD _________________ "Running away with a Spaceman in a box, anything could happen to you" |

MTMTE #4.
RiD #4 let me down in a few ways after dominating for the first 3 months.
And the manner of Megs and Orions split in Autocracy was a big let down for me after the Megatron I saw in Chaos Theory.
But MTMTE #4 had me from the introduction of the "genericons" onward. And I loved the use of the other Prowl.
Oh, and Ratchet is one of my all time fav characters. _________________ Monstrosity is like a delicious Italian feast followed by a glass of perfectly aged wine and a cigar. |
