As sales have been good to excellent for TMNT-related IDW products so far (from what I hear), why not add more graphic novels to the schedule?
For example, Bobby has told us that IDW plan to collect every TMNT comic by Mirage (and hopefully other publishers) which includes Volume 4. It would be great to see Volume 4 collected sooner than waiting for all of volumes 1 and 2 to be collected. It would be a dream come true to see TMNT graphic novel releases on alternating months (Tales, TMNTA, Volume 4, Classic, IDW) or something like that.
What ideas do IDW have? Is there something along the lines of this? |

You will see reprints alternating monthly between Mirage 'ongoing', Archie, and Tales of TMNT. We will indeed get to Image and Vol. 4 after Vol. 2. I understand the desire to want Vol. 4 stuff sooner, but it just gets extra-SUPER confusing for retailers if we start throwing different volumes around in the middle of other stuff.
Hope that helps! _________________ "I've lost all the hamburgers." |

I know I keep making wild suggestions, but wouldn't it be great to have a series of books encompassing the endings to the main 4 Turtles titles (excluding IDW, of course). If you think about it, Mirage Vol.4 needs to be finished, Image Vol.3 needs to be finished, fans would really appreciate an ending to the Archie series (The Forever War) and the Dreamwave series (which no-one really liked) was cancelled before the 3-part 'T-4: The Turtlenator).
It would be epic to get the original teams on these various projects, but it would be very hard to get Peter Laird to finish Volume 4 since he doesn't want to do comics anymore.
I know I keep saying these things when I'm not in any place to do so, but I am just a loyal fan who wants to see EVERY single turtle appearance collected (even the one-panel cameos in Sonic the Hedgehog).
By the way, you can find a very comprehensive list of comic appearances here:

hey compadre, since you are posting a link to the technodrome forums you should be aware that there now IS a conclusion to volume 3...even with the help of the original staff..and a quite awesome one I may add!!!we all hope it gets green liight to maybe be included officially in the idw-reprint of volume 3 one day....if you don't know about it yet, try to search for image conclusion issues 24 and 25....
also I shall repeat here my wish for annotations by jim and peter in a reprint of volume 4 at one point in time;)I know bobby you already expressed mutual desire for something like this, just want to hype it every where I can;) |

| Yes, I know about the fan-made conclusion and I have heard that they are very good, but I think an official reprinting of them by IDW would be even better! |

I'd prefer the volumes to not jump around out of order as it seems vol. 3 is going to do. These are largely made for the fanbase, not really 'jumping on point' type collections of past stories. Ergo, I wish each volume was in numerical order and/or collecting micro issues as they coincide with the main book. _________________ Freedom is the Right of All Sentient Beings - Optimus Prime

| I would totally be OK with Vol. 4 never getting reprinted. |

| whoa!I hope your oppinion is not reaching the ears of the guys doing the reprints...many of us here never had the pleasure of reading these comics, some maybe not anything at all from this run...and they are some extremely well crafted books I can tell you....taing their own spot in comics history for me....so, please please DO reprint ALL of them with as many bonus features as possible!! |

roseangelo,
You have now been deprived of the right to call yourself a TMNT fan. That is all!

I don't understand people who thought volume four is boring...the story delivers on all sides...giving us the sparring between the mysterious cha ocho and leonardo(one of the most beautiful dynamics captured in a pannel to me where leonardo declares winner of the match and resides his bokken), the creepy weird background origin story for april and the turtles in a fight against the foot(with new foot-wear) on board the spaceship-island of the utroms close to new york's shore...speaking of which:the landing of the utroms on earth!!!wow!still to me the most interesting scenario of close encounters with aliens told anywhere(most of the times I think those are so lala, but this one?sheesh, got me on my toes baby!!), special dinosaurs!!!, michelangelo has sex!!the death of master splinter!!!!!, man I could go on, but I don't want to spoil it for people who haven't read anything of it....those who know the run and don't like it, try reading it once more and come back tell me how you feel about it.these are with NO DOUBT some VERY special comics!for turtles fans or people who just like to be entertained by a good story....
I rest my case! |

I have read volume 4. Over and over. And it's still a boring read. Nothing in paticular actually happens, as it moves at a crippled slug's pace.
Nothing worth the long, tiring wait and any rate.
The characters are dull, uninteresting, and all have the same voice.
April's "origin" was pretty much the absolute worst thing to ever happen to the character.
And why exactly is Michelangelo being implied to have sex a selling point to this? That's... stupid. |

Okay, time for a mild mod intervention:
People are entitled to their opinions. When discussing things on this forum, please keep in mind that other people's opinions are personal and therefore might differ from yours. Stating opinions as fact often tends to create arguments and I'm sure none of us wants that. It's only a little trouble to start your opinion with "I think that..." or "in my opinion..." and it goes a long way to make this forum pleasant for everyone.
Also, personal attacks will not be tolerated on this forum, so should you find yourself posting an opinion about another member instead of the topic at hand, stop.
I appreciate your goodwill and co-operation. Now back to our regular scheduled programming... _________________

That's a shame, but I fully suport Mirage finishing Vol.4 rather than IDW. How far into 'production' is #32? Is there any chance of seeing it on the blog?
Jamie.

The art for #32 is at least partially inked -- I have to check with Eric Talbot to see how far he has gotten on it. There is a chance of seeing it on this blog at some point in the future, but I am not sure when. -- PL |
Yay! That's a start! BTW, sorry IDW, but Mirage could deliver the final issues old-skool; if you see what I mean! _________________ OK to print. Just don't say 'Turtle Power'! |
