I remember vividly at this point prior to RoC coming out that I was promising myself I would keep an open mind when I went to watch it and hope that it wouldn't be as bad as the previews showed it was going to be. Yeah, that didn't work out so well for me. My open mind still thought the movie was a complete joke, which it was.
This time around I am genuinely excited and really am looking forward to watching it. No evil doctor. No power suits. No X-Men uniforms. No Scarlett. No Ripcord. No Snake Eyes lips mask. Looks like we have a Joe version of The Incredible Hulk here. I still wish Wu would have abandoned RoC altogether and kept the characters true to the Marvel run, but just knowing that a few of the issues from the run were the inspiration for this movie is good enough for me. In all the incarnations of the Storm Shadow/Snake Eyes dynamic, ARAH is still the best. |

| Retaliation looks to be a million times better than ROC. First off Cobra Commander is no longer wearing a fishbowl over his head, he actually appears to be a serious threat in this film. Firefly is in this, nuff said! We have the red ninjas and Jinx. Lady Jaye is hot, story looks good. I think this is going to be light years ahead of ROC in every way possible. Look forward to seeing this. |
