Because James, Alex and Josh love you guys so much, they've done a commentary for pages 1-5 of MTMTE #4 that will appear on Hasbro's official Facebook page tomorrow.

man i still cant get over how meaty these previews are.

theyre like a whole book of other titles.

some nice universe building going on here and a good ol "outbreak"/"rec" type storyline looking to be in the offing. considering some of the covers to come im thinking its got to do with weaponised cosmic rust or something very like it.

still once again its the banter that sells me on this book. they really could turn up and find out its an invasion of puppies licking TFs to death with rust and the dialogue between the characters is what would keep me (dont want to seem over the top here but roberts reminds me of some of the stuff alan moore was doing when he took over rob liefelds supreme book a good few years back.)

i mean we just KNOW magnus aint gonna like swerves bar when he finds out about it Smile

its just been great to see these bots shine as characters. magnus has been gold for me, particularly in how other characters see and react to him, and its good to see him have trouble adapting to the new status quo.

im telling ya lads if they can keep this up i'll be one very happy camper.

cant wait to get this one !

havent been able to post as thanks to the mad demand i only got the last two issues of MTMTE this week but one of my favorite exchanges was between roddy and brainstorm which went along the lines of

roddy :"would you crack that joke if i was ultra magnus ?"

brainstorm " would i crack that....oh hell he's not there is he ?"

its dialogue like this that just makes this title a joy. it IS funny to see magnus caught up in the old mindset of cons and bots. i mean lets say tailgate fully embraces the decep ideals.

what the hell threat it he to mags and co ?

particularly when ya got the far more dangerous cyclonus wandering about to worry about !

its just another example of the great character portrayals were getting now. hot rod has fully moved on and is just about having a blast on the quest while mags is still in a "war" setting, plus it gives us a nice little set up for some exploration of the different factions motivations

ambulon for instance doesnt seem to be a very nice bot from this preview. in fact he sounds like a bit of a racist !

nice to see this stuff being explored.

I think Pharma's more racist than Ambulon, really. He's the one who hates 'cons. Ambulon's the sympathiser. More like an anti-racist. Sure you haven't got them confused?

Heh. Looks like First Aid's obsession extends a bit beyond Autobot badges - he can instantly identify the Genericons from the shape and colour of their badges...

got the lads mixed up.

its an interesting angle. beside a few characters like sunstreaker we dont get "bad guys" bots so the notion of not so squeeky clean bots and not so "evil " decpticons like tailgate is a fun one to explore.

the review tronprogram posted of this issue has me going nuts. im dying to see who this cliffhanger of a character reveal is.

ive a fair guess who it is and if its him ill be ecstatic !

only downside is ill have to avoid certain thread so as not to ruin it. i really wanna be surprised by this book now.
