Can I say I called this. They are near DJD space, they had to be with them in issue 7.
Great stuff. _________________

Red Alerts shacks up with Swerve? Oh god - poor Red Alert!
Oh gosh, and so many continuity references to past events already! _________________

Agreed - loved the reference to First Aid's badge obsession.
And honestly? Given where he's stationed, it's not an unreasonable obsession. _________________

Well, we know where the obsession came from, considering Bullets.
Say, did Ambulon use to be a Decepticon?
Also those Genericons... don't they look like a certain other branched-spark pair? Just a little bit? _________________

Oh my, just look at the funny stuff going on in the background in Swerve's bar! Skids shouldn't drink...
I love how Chromedome sucks his drink through a straw... _________________

Man, any other writer and you'd be lucky to have covered up to page 3 in a 7 page preview.
On a cautious note, James doesn't seem to have spent much time with some characters yet, and it seems kind of odd to suddenly throw in Pipes (not to mention First Aid and the characters surrounding him) when some core cast members have only been around thus far for exposition - I'm thinking Rewind and Red Alert. _________________ My personal website - it needs more pictures!

You know, I'm intrigued about the idea that Ratchet's hands are failing and are kinda irreplaceable.
Makes me wonder what he'll do once he finds a replacement medic. Namely, would he replace his hands and take a more active adventuring role instead, more like Marvel US?
Definitely hope First Aid replaces him though if anyone does. He's got the right sort of personality. (As in, with a quirk) _________________

Anyone notice a certain adorable abomination of science sitting beneath Sunstreaker's chair in the bar? I was hoping he was on-board. _________________

Wow.
You know, I think I'm noticing a trend. Focksbot?
You're mentioning some worry at throwing in other newbies taking time from other mains, but right now, we don't know if either of them's gonna survive this encounter.
But the way it looks, a particular character each issue will get the main attention, while others will get lil snippets in, until they can have their own time in the limelight (was gonna say Spotlight, but then again we haven't seen those in ages!) thus ensring everyone gets a turn =O
I'm liking this approach
And Ratchet's hands, folks wondered if he had some incurable transformers disease, but this is a much simpler, much more effective threat: his original hands, take a moment and think on that, these things are near as old as Kup, that's a kind of wow in itself
And yes, Swerve's bar shenanigans, is Skids performing the cybertronian version of bringing a traffic cone home with that service droid?
Things are fleshing out now, and I look forward to more tomorrow <3 |
