Transformers is probably one of the best shows i've ever seen that truly captures the imagination. I'm sure most of us that grew up with the toys didn't solely re-enact the comics or Sunbow series scene for scene in our bedrooms/gardens. As with most media, many fans from time to time ply their own hand to a story or two and so this thread is dedicated to that.
Maybe you decided to write up a follow up story to an abandoned plot thread in one of the TV shows EG the ending to The Agenda in Beast Wars. Felt cheated when characters you loved were killed off in the Animated Movie. Or maybe you thought to imagine a greater Movie story then Bay will ever give us? Sound off with your thoughts and opinions on TF fanfic
This probably already exists but I thought i'd add a thread here if it doesn't. _________________

I've always felt the gap between season 2 and 3 of the original cartoon was prime fanfic fodder, given the number of characters who appeared and disappeared within those times. Hell, I wrote a few when I was a teenager. They weren't particularly good. lol.
On the flipside of that, in my own personal opinion, you have those people whose fanfictions indicate not being able to keep their minds outta the gutter... *cough* _________________

Yes Those people... I've heard quite a few Optimus/Megatron "stories" of that nature exist, the internet can be a very disturbing place. That Prime shot into Megatron's cannon in Escalation apparently got a lot of people going...
When it comes to writing [regular] fan fiction I wrote dozens of Stories for whatever I was into at the time in my youth: X-Men, Bucky 'O' Hare, Batman, Earthworm Jim etc Yet when it comes to the 'Formers i've only ever written two, both based around Beast Wars.
The first one based entirely on some of the toys I liked the look of that never made it into the show and the other mixed in some G1 too. I draw alongside the writing [to an ok standard] and so I'd only really base stories off of characters I could draw well. One of the casualties of this was my BW Favourite Rhinox, whose face I could never get to look right. Now when I say I wrote TF these are quite big ole tomes [almost] essentially as I did write complete storylines for them... obviously with bad endings which are my favourite kind. _________________

That anyone can write slash fic about Transformers baffles and repulses me.
As for writing it myself, I've made a couple of efforts. One was a long time ago and was set after the Rebirth- frankly, it was an attempt to bring Megatron and the Seekers back and wasn't very good. I did another one a year or so ago when I was getting frustrated with the direction of the Ongoing, which was going to have Ratbat getting his War Within body and Thunderclash leading a squad into some sort of terrifying facility... _________________

Oddly enough my second TF story brought G1 Galvatron into BW -Also through his backstory I created the Final battle of G1 that pretty much killed off 90% of the G1 cast and led into BW.
I killed off BW Megs in my first chapter, not to say I dislike BW Megs but, I had several of my own designs to use instead one i'm particularly proud of was a Fuzor Scorponok/Terrorsaur. Which came to me in my lunch break at an old job and I jotted down complete specs (even how he transforms) on a napkin. _________________

I drew my own comics as a kid, one story had current MTMTE star Tailgate go up against current RiD Star Ss in a no holds fight lol.
I also drew Galvatron and Cyclonus going up against Metroplex who was in city mode.
I had the Quints bring back Optimus before they did it in the series which I was really happy about at the time _________________

Another one I did was turning the Matrix into a Transformer. I thought it made sense given the Matrix would have become too big for a Maximal to wield. I did make him a jet as The Matrix itself would have been a rubbish altmode. _________________

I wrote some crappy fanfic when I was like eight. It was basically a TF version of Street Fighter.
A bit like what 3H's Transformers Universe was.
Then, after SL Sixshot, I made an attempt at writing a piece about RiD Scourge and how his comrades hate him because of who he looks like. Was trying get that same loafing feeling that Sixshot had in his spotlight. In the end, he get's relegated to guarding some asteroid base and his only companion is BM Tankor.
It didn't get past the planning stage _________________ "Running away with a Spaceman in a box, anything could happen to you" |

Thats the first time i've seen anyone write anything to do with Beast Machines... I thought it was one of those Elephant in The Room things. _________________

I'm not a big Beast Machines fan, but I did once write an entry for the writing competition set in the Beast Machines continuity.

Now its no secret that I do love Beast Wars, Beast Machines however.. was ok. My biggest problem with it was it was soo thugly compared to BW and I know people use that whole 'stylised art' excuse and blah blah blah but the animation wasn't a patch on BW. Plus the Maximals didn't have decent weapons, Rattrap looked dumb, The toys were rubbish etc etc _________________

I've written a story that catalogues the end of the Great War. Takes facets of G1, G2 and Furman's unofficial Alignment story:
The rise of the Predacons under Razorclaw.
The assault on the Hub and the death of the Liege Maximo.
The capitulation of the Decepticons after the death of Megatron.
The creation of the Maximals.
The development of TransWarp technology.
And the final victory of the Autobots and Maximals over the Predacons.
It's about 14,000 words at present. |

When I wrote that Final battle of G1 I did take inspiration from probably the most noteworthy Marvel TF comic I ever read: Peace. As in those situations much like that story I thought there is always one pivotal death that kicks the whole thing off: in mine it was Galvatron. Rodimus was the last to fall and only really half of the gestalts[literally] made it out of the battle alive and that was it. I did a lot of single image deaths ala Wheeljack in the Animated Movie such as Springer, Grimlock, Cyclonus, the Horrorcons, Fort Max etc.. gotta love shock value. So my Great War actually ended in a truce the survivors all agreed upon as virtually every leader was dead and those that remained were too horrified to continue. _________________

See I'm trying to work within established canon, and make the links between G1/2 and BW stronger. There are a lot of unanswered questions and I went about answering them.
The link is in my sig if anyone would like to read it. _________________

Whereas my G1 canon was the Sunbow series, so thats not the best thing to work with and the only G2 knowledge I really have is a pretty shoddy Constructicon toy. I do like the mystery of some of the unanswered questions being preserved though EG Megatron's message on the Golden Disk, and i'd hate for Hasbro to one day fill in all those blanks. Although I doubt that would ever happen. _________________
