Oddysey is a TMNT project by turtles fan Andrew Modeen and Mirage veteran and fan-favorite Jim Lawson. You can view a teaser trailer of it here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u4M_uYZs7kQ
Modeen is the guy who made the 2-part Image conclusion possible, only charging shipping to the fans who wanted it. He plans to self publish this too... Unless IDW decides to publish it!
So, would anybody else here love to see this in comic shops? _________________ ------------------

This would be awesome to see. I'd like to see IDW do some more one offs of past Turtle comics. Regardless this book needs to happen. Lawson was always one of my favorites.
Or hey maybe we can get the same treatment GI Joe fans got and a continuation of past TMNT comics. |

That really looks interesting! If IDW publishes this, I'd definitely want to buy it! Dunno about the legal ramifications of publishing it otherwise, though... _________________

It would be non-profit, and he'd probably only print 125 copies total anyways. _________________ ------------------

| I'll be buying it either way...for the turtles fans who haven't heard of this and the image conclusion, I can tell you they are a really great comic book project!!!so exciting!!idw should really work it out when the time comes to repront the image run to include this...hey why not include an interview with andrew and all participants(if possible) about how this came to be...that would be so amazing!I'd buy two copies of oddyssey in a heart beat...so make it happen idw compadres!we'll be getting it anyway;) |

ugh...Jim Lawson USED to be one of my fave. Turtles artists way back when (see the "Return to New York" arc of the original Mirage stuff), but something happened to his art somewhere between the time the first movie came out and the horrendous sequels...nothing like it used to be. Not even close at all. I'm more than happy with what Dan Duncan is doing for IDW's Turtles and hope he's the only artist that does the book (other than Kevin Eastman ) |

Yes. It's just not officially licensed, that's all. It's a fanwork with contributions from folks who have previously worked on TMNT comics (chiefly Jim Lawson).
I'm definitely excited for it, though, especially considering all the hints Andrew has dropped over at the Technodrome Forums regarding it. _________________ TMNT Entity: The place for Ninja Turtle comic reviews and research articles! |
