I just got through playing the demo of Mass Effect 3 on both the PS3 and Xbox 360. This is going to be a game of the year (if not the decade) candidate.

So along with the Teenage Mutant Nnja Turtle Movie, the video Game will be published by Activision. Already, Rocksteady Games has stated they are NOT the company making the game. Activision is a good company. I don't think they could ever mess up as big as Ubisoft did with TMNT being a 1 Player game. Super Meat Boy should be game of the Year, I know it was last year but still, it is soooo AWESOME!!!

Console News: Microsoft XBOX 720, rumored to be powered by AMD.

The 720 will supposedly receive a modified A10 APU and Should provide graphics quality comparible to the movie AVATAR.

The PC Version of the A10 will be a quad core APU running at 3.8ghz/a turbo mode of 4.2ghz and comes with a Radeon 7660 hd built in.

AMDs APUs powering the next gen xbox will be a nice boost!!!

Personally Im a Playstation fan / user.

Love my PS3.

IBM was supposed to build the new CPU, then IBM was going to design it and AMD would Build it, now the latest update was that AMD will design and build the chip and it would be based off the upcoming A10 APU.

I'm a fan of AMD products, so glad to see them involved in the console Market.

But like all things this could change well before the 720 is ever released. Could be an Intel 8 core with Nvidia graphics when it comes out.

But AMDs spokes person seems to know a whole lot about what Xbox is up too.

I think the Xbox should be built like of tower. Run windows 8 and play all Xbox titles ever. And be upgradeable. Smile

be a pc and a console all at once.

I also like the Xbox720 or ps4 being tablets. Needs to have at least 256gb SSD drives though. Or maybe dual SSD and hdd.

No ta. The whole reason console are "better" is that you don't need to upgrade them. You buy a game, it'll work. PC's aren't like that. Mine won't run Warcraft, for example. How pissed would I (or you) be if I bought Skyrim (for example), put it in my PS3 and was told that the graphics card wasn't compatible, or not enough processing power?

Damn things are expensive enough as it is, without having to upgrade them too.

No, we're not doing a "PC vs Console" thing here. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. PCs are customisable, near infinitely upgradeable, tend towards (note 'tend') having a more sophisticated userbase and cater towards a more indie state of mind. Consoles are dependable, a nice base platform you can rely on, with a much larger userbase and hence a much larger multiplayer scene.

For every time I've had a game of Halo on my Xbox, I've sat screaming at my PC when, for no reason, my 7 player Dawn of War game won't admit the last guy, who's spent half an hour forwarding his ports and unblocking his router. Equally, for every absolutely delightful hour of modded play on a Team Fortress 2 server (GIANT KITTEH SHOOTING BEES) I've had, I've spent another dolefully filing complaints against 14-year-old American boys on Xbox Live for being racist, sexist or otherwise awful. It runs both ways.

^^ Agreed. I wasn't trying to start a Consoles Vs. PC thing, I was just trying to highlight something that I consider a strength of a console. If you could upgrade it, then you pretty much would have to upgrade it, because developers will always be pushing to the limits of technology.

I would love to be able to upgrade this PC, but the limiting factor for me is cost. I simply cannot afford newer graphics and soundcards, or a bigger HD. Transfer that en masses to the console market and I think you'd discover that no-one would buy them, simple as.

Also, like I say, I don't upgrade because of the cost. But I'm sure there's a lot of people out there who don't upgrade because they don't know how to. And it can be a fiddly operation at the best of times. So these people would have to take the console to a specialist, which would incur more costs...

I'm happy with both PC and console. I don't feel the need to own every console out there, so the I'm part of the happy medium. Sure, I can see where people would like an all in one machine, but I can't see most people going for it. That's why we still have separate phones and mp3 players...

That New Wii that's coming out is a pretty cool little tablet. Now it doesn't run windows but the things it can do are pretty awesome.

I think eventually we will have the all in one gadget, that lets you play games, surf the web, do your homework, office work, and play the latest MMO without having to put it down, to go to a PC.

Wether it runs Windows or a simpler universal O/S that simply runs whatever you put on it. Wink
