I guess its true that their contract says, no none Toho monsters; as it looks like the Infestation cross-over isn't going to touch any Godzilla comics.
on the one hand I am glad.
on the other I'd like to see Godzilla fight Cthulhu.
I am torn. |

| Well on the chance that being involved with the Infestation 2 crossover miniseries would mean that the Godzilla title would have to feature the stupid CVO characters, I'm glad it isn't. |

CVO characters, loaded for bear, all gung-ho and ready to deal with the worst the world has to offer, step through the dimensional portal (or whatever they're using this time). See Godzilla fighting Cthulu.

How about a dimensional rift opens and Godzilla steps into the Transformers Infestation #2 series and starts kicking all kinds of arse with reckless abandon.
Optimus then rides Godzilla into the final battle wielding a massive jousting lance against Cthulhu. _________________ There are no fools in life only idiots.

Someone needs to commission Matt Frank to draw this. |

I do so enjoy a good Lovecraft tale, but I could not in good conscience root for such a vile terror from beyond the stars, who would drive me mad with the merest glance (also, I'm not too found of some of the artistic depictions of a very humanoid Cthulhu. He's supposed to be beyond my comprehension after all, why should he be humanoid?). Good thing Godzilla would win. _________________ You are what you dare.

| Too bad. It seems like a natural fit, the Lovecraft Mythos and Godzilla's gang. While I'm not bugged, nor surprised that Toho shot this down if it was proposed to them. Heck, I remember on a few other sites with the first INFESTATION. The Big-G facing off with zombie kaiju would be nice also to see. Anywho, it was thanks to my fandom of Godzilla that gave me a full-blown introduction to the Mythos with the fan-fic, Godzilla Vs. Cthulhu, by author C.L. Werner, before he hit it big. Check it out here.>http://www.kaijuphile.com/fannest/fiction/godzillavscthulhu_1.shtml |

Not a bad tale One and Only, thanks for posting the link. It did it's best to give both creatures their due and had enough references to Lovecraft's work to make the setup seem workable. Quite good. _________________ You are what you dare.
