Belgian. Definitely Belgian. Seriously, whoever heard of potato waffles?
Not me, obviously... _________________

Hello. My name is Matthew cashel. I work in Earl childhood special-Ed and attempt to write comics on the side. My last book with a real publisher was paradigm. But,eventually,it was cancelled due to poor ales. I'm not a super hero guy but I am a huge fan of morrison's the invisibles, hama's g I Joe and furman's uk work on the transformers. I buy the monthlies of the transformers but my true love is the IDw collections. I like having it all in one place and I adore seeing the amazing artwork oversized. I am a Joe fan first, but with Roberts and barber steering the transformer ship, that might soon change. I'm coming up on my 37'th b-day and I grew up on g I Joe and the transformers. I was and am a huge furman fan so the uk issues meant a lot to me. I missed out on the first season of tf because my local cable didn't run it but I saw the last half of the second season shows as my bus dropped me off at that time. I saw the transformers:animated movie and became a real fan. I only own two transformers: grimlock and prowl because joes were so much cheaper. So I love what I've read concerning the reboot of the transformers' mythos. I have some continuity stuff that continues to bother me but I have to say this version beats out the uk's so far. As long as you keep going with the IDw collection hardcovers, you have a fan in me. I look forward to really getting to know all of you. You seem a great deal nicer than many messageboard members elsewhere. Politeness counts and it is a big part of what drew me to these boards. That and your passion. Nothing like passionate fans to excite a newbie. But, please, cut me some slack; I'm one of those that liked buster in marvel's run and verity in idw's. It may not be a popular opinion but I'll learn! Thanks everyone! Roll out! _________________ Thank-you IDW for supporting G.I. Joe: the revamp and ARAH. Here's to forty-nine years of adventure! |

Hi,there! I'm sort of a newbie. I've been on again off again with the reboot but grew up on furman's stuff. Ahm left me kinda cold because of the continuity errors and the fact that furman had been rushed to give quick closure to , what I believed, to be some of his best work. The new direction has been great, however, and taken as a whole, I think idw's reboot is the best transformers' continuity. I still consider myself a newbie because I don't know half the characters and I ask questions that, to most, probably seem pretty basic. I don't have many of the toys but I did finally get the complete sunbow cartoon series on DVD. I love it. It's nice to meet you and welcome! _________________ Thank-you IDW for supporting G.I. Hi Windwave!
Welcome to the boards, I think a lot of us agree the 1986 movie was a big highlight in all of our childhoods! And g1, Prime and TFA?
I think you'll get along well with a lot of folks here ^^
Do you read the comics translated or in English? Just curious to see how far our little world reaches =D |
