Thanks, I may digitally add some clouds and speed lines to the double page spread.
I was working on seeing if I could do a page a day 'cause besides quality I also wanted to see if I could handle a monthly schedule. NO Problem, all of these pages were done pencil and inks in around 8 hours (the two page spread was like 6 hours). |

Your layouts are fantastic and the detail is phenomenal. What are your plans for the pages after your done? _________________ Frankie B Washington

From my previous book work I have a lot of stock images of water, splashes, Gojira type scales, fish, etc. which I reuse- so I'm not drawing everything for the first time.
I draw a rough layout in pencil, do all my actual drawing with Sharpies and Microns, scan it in and throw in the stock elements in Photoshop. Then I print it out on an oversized printer and add all the little detail touches.
It cuts hours off the drawing time by not fully pencilling and using stock elements for waves and fish and stuff.
Plus I've been drawing Godzilla for decades so I'm pretty fast on the big lizard.
bigger images are on my deviantart site:

I plan on submitting the whole think formally to IDW when I get a couple more pages done. |

I tried adding clouds, they looked okay, but then I would have had to add clouds to all the pages, so I just added speed lines instead |

Well they should be seeing your stuff here. You definitely do sequential well- It will be nice to see how you handle cities and peoples as Gojira/Godzilla makes landfall.
I wish you a lot of luck and hope that you get the opportunity to do some official work on the Godzilla titles.
PS. Are you planning to do any Godzilla related personal sketch cards? _________________ Frankie B Washington
