Prometheus is gonna be the film to end all films in 2012. Hands down.
I just saw the trailer today, and while it doesn't really let anything major slip, it's looking absolutely fantastic.

All the above (apart from MiB2) are gonna be epic.
Add the Avengers and the Amazing Spider-Man to the list, and 2012 is looking to be an awesome year for movies.
There's also Expendables 2, but I found the first really disappointing, so might skip it this time round.
I think it helps we have some master filmmakers doing the rounds this year. Ridley Scott, Peter Jackson, Christopher Nolan. We're definitely being spoilt.
Course Lucas will be pushing Phantom Menace 3D _________________ "Running away with a Spaceman in a box, anything could happen to you" |

| To i realy have mixed feelings about the new spider man ,i liked the first 2 and did not see much good about 3 . So being a big fan of spiderman i was pummed for a reboot and the trailer looked great , but when sony said it was going to be a mix of twilight and the dark knight i got a bit scared. It seem to me its got a lot going for it ( love the new look buy the way) but i hope they make spidy spidy. |

Well out of all the comic book movies we have coming out over the next few years, Spider-Man is the one I'm least excited about.
Not sure why the reboot was necessary. They could have quite easily recast some parts (like they did with 90s Batman, Bruce Banner etc) and still called it Spider-Man 4.
Hell, it's even got a villain that's not been in the old trilogy.
But maybe they looked at Batman Begins and thought, hey we could do that too.
You know, I'd love for Nolan to get his hands on a Marvel property. X-Men perhaps or maybe even Daredevil. _________________ "Running away with a Spaceman in a box, anything could happen to you" |

COWBOYS & ALIENS "I loved it!!!" And I hate westerns....
Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Was pretty cool, prequal, to the remake.
Way Better than the old 70's ones... _________________ Everything I post is ok to print, use, copy, use for inspiration, promote world peace, change lives, etc...and so on and so on.

Yeah, I really enjoyed Apes, but wish they'd stuck with the original title of just Rise of the Apes.
I didn't realise it was meant to be a prequel to the remake. Thought it was it's own thing.
I got the Star Wars blu-ray for christmas. Going to watch it over the next few days, and then try and find time to dive into the extras. _________________ "Running away with a Spaceman in a box, anything could happen to you" |

Oddly enough, I sat and watched 'Unforgiven' with the old man just a few nights back. I'd forgotten just what a riveting and involving movie that was. _________________ Check out my page on DA http://hde2009.deviantart.com/

Man I loved the ending too. | The ending is what killed it for me.
I saw it in the theatre as a treat to myself.
I love the movie from all aspects...until the way it ended I thought was terrible. _________________ I dont know you and yet I feel a kinship...kinship. |

I saw Super 8 recently, and I gotta say, it's one of the better movies I've seen in recent years.
However, I DO think it drops the ball in a couple of places. I think the ending is okay, but that part with the locket made me sit up and go 'NO! That's STOOPID!' The plot thread with the two fathers seemed a little superfluous and forced to me as well.
Otherwise, great movie. Brilliant dynamic with the kids, excellent creature, and the Super 8 movie as seen in the end credits is hilarious! _________________ Check out my page on DA http://hde2009.deviantart.com/

| I saw the movie Warrior a few days ago. It was a pretty good movie, but the notion that this is a Rocky movie for the MMA audience is laughable. |
