Hey guys and gals,
For all you non-US folks, I had it confirmed to me today that due to licensing issues, the Ghostbusters comics won't be available to comic shops outside of the US through regular distribution channels. It's a huge bummer, but I suggest folks investigate online retailers, as many of them will be able to provide you with comics (it just means we have to wait a little longer).
I really hope you do, as I know everyone involved is putting their all into this to really make it something special, and the first issue really is about as jam-packed as you can get!

That sucks for non-U.S. readers. Yes, check out online vendors however you can.
Oh, and IDW, if you want to make this title available digitally, that would be fine, too. _________________ Author of Mr. Smartass, available for Amazon's Kindle, iPad/iPhone, and other e-reader devices and apps. |

oh %^%*, Why on earth haven't Diamond been putting "C: 1" 's in the order forms, and why didn't I notice this thread earlier?

I had just checked with my comic shop today about why I hadn't see issue 1 yet to be told that they wouldn't be able to get it at all (I'm in Germany).
I am very grateful that IDW have gone on to do an ongoing comic of Ghostbusters, I've enjoyed all the previous ones so far and I want to continue enjoying them and supporting them.
However I can't and I'm left with either a) hoping they are available digitally, b) importing them from somewhere (sadly the blackdog.de link doesn't have the earlier issues now) or c) just downloading them illegally.
I am quite sad that this couldn't be licensed outside the US, it seems a particularly boneheaded decision. |

It IS available digitally. No need to go the illegal route (please don't). |

Its been odd, we've had most of the Ghostbusters comics outside of the US, apart from Displaced Agression and I think the Xmas one. Heck we even had the Infestation/Ghostbusters issues and yet Sony or whoever won't allow the ongoing?

| I have a question...is it still not available outside of the united states?...like I posted before I have a standing order for the book since day one and have the first two issues at home...when issue two hit the stands I was told by my comic dealer about the non-us-ghostbusters thing...they sayd they'd try everything possible to get them anyway for me...then a while nothing happened and now their site has new pictures of upcomming issues so I imagined the problem was solved by now...is it solved?....you know we get the turtles ongoing now without any problems... |

coolray85-
If you are unable to get them outside of the USA I suggest you look up Le Comics on facebook. The best comic book shop you'll ever find. He ships internationally for his ebay stuff. If you contact him he may be willing to order and mail you a copy each month. Just something to look into. There are a lot of people from other parts of the state and out of state that like his shop so much that they keep their pull lists with him & have him mail it to them twice a month once they move away from the era (It's a college town). _________________ Back off man, I'm a scientist. |

It means that, right now, a store not in North America CAN'T order Ghostbusters Ongoing from Diamond distribution.
They CAN, for example, partner up with a store in the US, have the US store order the book for them, and ship it out (I know some stores in Australia do this) but right now, that's it.
Individual users can get physical copies from (eBay, Amazon, or online comic stores) or digitally through Comixology IIRC.
But until and unless IDW gets the international license, they can't sell directly abroad via Diamond.
So can you or your store get the book? Yes, but there's an extra hoop to jump through.
I hope this changes soon! _________________ Follow me on Twitter. Be my Facebook fan. Wade in the pool that is my ego. (;
