Well this could be interesting. This one strikes me as being one of the ones where the differences in the characters personalities could change the outcome and events in the story (one of the others - Space Seed, strikes me as being rather unlikely to be comicified). _________________ Ohh 'Eck! |

Hmm...I dunno. If the deleted scenes from the movie had been included IN the movie, this might make more sense. Otherwise, we're being asked to accept that Kirk might be emotionally impacted over a character we never actually met. _________________ Everything I say is OK To Print, Even the Bad Stuff.

He's in the comics IIRC so if we assume that this is a continuation of the comic adaptation of the movie rather then a continuation of the movie then I think Kirk might just be ready to blast the planet from orbit rather then pursue other avenues like TV Kirk was, TV Kirk accepted the death of his brother and his sister-in-law because there seemed to be an emotional distance between them while movie Kirk seems to lack both TV Kirk's patience and his emotional resilience. _________________ Ohh 'Eck! |
