It looks to be minis for a while. In the July PREVIEWS, page 161, there's a half page ad for "Jurassic Park: Dangerous Games" #1 (of 5). Greg Bear and Erik Bear (W) and Jorge Jimenez (A). Looks pretty. I'd like it to be as good as Byrne's previous mini.
From a business view, I can imagine that JP is a decent seller, but with no new movie on the horizon, it doesn't/couldn't move as well as other licensed properties (G.I Joe, Star Trek, Transformers). I don't see it becoming a monthly unless a new movie starts to roll forward seriously. Ghostbusters is becoming a monthly, but that's more kid friendly than dinos ripping people apart. |
