Tales of the TMNT vol. 2 had a lot of back up stories.

How Should the backup stories from Tales of the TMNT vol. 2 be collected?

With the main Tales of the TMNT vol. 2 stories?

With the other TMNT short stories?

In their own collected book?

Or some other way (please specify in the comments section)?

I think it would depend on how they collect the other short stories. If they reprint Turtle Soup and Shell Shock as collected books just the way they are, a trade of just Tales Vol.2's short stories would fit right in with those.

As long as they all get collected and it's in a coherent fashion I don't really care how.... that said I do think Leonardo: Blindsight should get it's own book because it's just that amazing!! Wink

I say release them as omnibusses. 1-35 then 36 - 70.... Thats my personal opinion let. the Only ones I would take out (thats a maybe) is gang wars, and thats only if he can finish the story.

yea i deff think there should be some kind of arc to it or whatever, like the gang wars where spread out, put all those togather and so on an so on.

I think Tales Vol.2 is a fickle beast when it comes to collecting it, but the shorts could definitely come together in an anthology book similar to Turtle Soup or Shell Shock (which I REALLY hope gets reprinted).

I haven't read much of Tales Vol. 2 yet. Do any of the shorts have bearing on the main stories of the issues they're packed with? If not, throw 'em in with the rest of the short stories.

I just hope that if IDW do collect any of the Tales books that they include all of the frontispieces. That's one thing sorely lacking in the Mirage trades for Vol. 2. Poses the question, though, what to do with the Vol. 1 frontispieces... I say reprint all the issues as they originally were with the original frontispieces, then include the new ones plus the future Donatello story as kind of a related bonus.

It would be really cool if the shorts had an annotation in the corner of the first panel telling where it fits in, much like the "A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Adventure" did in the Mirage Mini-Comics!

Otherwise, I feel Tales Vol. 2 should be collected by arc where possible, then theme, then Turtle.

But yes, all shorts should have their own anthology omnibus.
