Heres my review of the long awaited fourth issue of the jericho comic series. It starts of with John smith in prison being questioned by someone who is extremely similar to his wife. They go through the summary of why john smith blew up 23 american cities, and what i found interesting was, (either they originally intended it to be in then show or built on it) was the murder of his wife to be the reason for nuking america, Valente "pretending" to be one of the leaders of the group (though it was in the show and easily made out, but my memory of exact details of the show are hazy), and the reason for smith to change the time of the nuking earlier because of J&R trying to cover it up before it even happened. My only complaint about the issue is the speed. It doesnt really do much for progress in the series except for the last two panels, where smith "has plans for them". The artist has changed, and looks different obviously. Personally i wish they kept alejandro giraldo because his work is more detailed than the new artist. But he works for DDP, not IDW as we know. I really wish CBS chose to go with IDW in the 1st place as IDW is more of a "safe bet" than a smaller company, and we would have had 16 issues out by now, not 4. At least we have a continuation of the series, as 99% of other TV shows that get canceled have no continued continuity. I hope the series matches or exceeds IDW's and CBS's expectations so we can most likely get a confirmed ongoing series, not just a 6 issue mini series. Another thing is i like how they kept the cover to the next issue on the back like DDP, and the cover for #5 hasnt changed from when we originally saw it. I actually like that cover because of its accuracy to characters from the show, and i think that artist personally needs to draw the issues because of it. thats just me. I give #4 a 4/5, definately buy it. It may be sold out, but in some places it might not. I always order mine a week before it gets released though. Anyway, im out.

K6 said it well. Jericho issue 4 does ROCK! Issue 4 was awesome as I am certain the next two issues will be! I will continue to order as many comic issues as they decide to produce. (unless our dreams of a return to network tv comes true) If you do a review on youtube I will be sure to check it out!

I really enjoyed #4 and the backstory of John Smith. Can't wait for #5, I surmise they'll be back in Jericho with maybe some news about Mimi's pregnancy? And who's the hack who only gave #4 4 stars? |
