It would definitely be interesting to see Picard meet Seven of Nine. In a sense they would be kindred spirits, since both are former Borg freed from the Collective. The difference being of course that Seven spent most of her life there, while Picard was only a part of the Borg for a few days at most. Who knows? Seven might already know who he is. _________________

And that's assuming Jean Luc doesn't snap and kill 7 of 9 outright at first seeing her. You know how he feels about the Borg. See First Contact. He even personally snapped the Borg Queen's spine to ensure her end. He might use a phaser rifle set to maximum at 7 before anyone can stop him. _________________ "Let us renew our faith and our hope. We have every right to dream heroic dreams!"

I want to see the scene where Janeway meets up with her old boyfriend and her dog. I want to see if the Maquis get pardoned by Starfleet and where they all go after that and if any remain in service on the Voyager after they got home. I want to see Tuvok go back home to Vulcan. I want to see Paris confront his old man. I want to see the whole crew finally get physically together with Barclay and thank him. I want to see if the Doctor gets involved with the holographic miners. I want to see if the Doctor ever ends up picking a name for himself. I want to see how Janeway got promoted to Admiral. I want to see if the contacts opened by Voyager to the Delta Quadrant ever lead into any continuous communication between the Alpha Quadrant and Delta Quadrant races. I want to see if Voyager is honored by a special ambassadorial ship status or anything. I want to see whether Seven accepts an official rank with Starfleet and comes to wear the standard uniform, or if she will walk away from Starfleet and where she will go from there. I want to see where Icheb and Naomi Wildman go.
There's *so much material* to work with post End Game that telling stories *during* the series which we know can't affect anything seems like a total waste in comparison. |
A few books answered some of your questions. Homecoming and The Farther Shore deals with their return and being caught up in a holographic revolt (someone took control of the human holograms.) The Spirit Walk duology has Chakotay's first mission as captain of Voyager. All those books were written by Christie Golden. Skip The String Theory trilogy was set during the TV series. Voyagers next appreance was in the Destiny trilogy and the follow up Singular Destiny. Full Circle and Unworthy by Kristen Bayer has Voyager leading a fleet of Quantum Slipstream drive ships back to the Delta Quadrant to be sure the Borg are gone for good. _________________ "Will you please stop farting while I'm trying to save the planet?" | I really thought that both Voyager AND Enterprise were both underrated! Both great shows - I thought better than DS9 and TNG. |

The fan-fic Unity has Picard being barely able to be in the same room as Seven early on. |

No offense, but I'd rather see IDW do a Star Trek Enterprise ongoing or mini series. Besides, Janeway's DEAD as seen in the novel STV: Full Circle. _________________ "Let us renew our faith and our hope. We have every right to dream heroic dreams!"

Didn't IDW say already they weren't going to do VOY ?
Enterprise comics would be great, too. But foget the series finale.
I would like to see more TNG. But TNG done right.
And with better art. It seems like all the best art and writing go to TOS comics (which I like, of course but I'm a child of the TNG generation). |

speaking of VOY, I'd love to see more of the Elite Force ....the one comic about them was really cool but sad that they weren't integrated into more novels....would also be cool if they kind of team up with the MACOs after Voyager returnes home _________________ 'Play with friends, be a Hero!'

I think sales just aren't good enough for them to take a chance on a Voyager series. DS9 didn't even do well enough to warrant a follow-up, as far as I know. That's a pity. I thought it captured the feel of the TV show quite well. _________________

Rediscovering my love for Star Trek via Star Trek Online and then realized IDW made the comics too. I would love to see a post homecomming Voyager or a Dominion War DS9 story. A story detailing the relationship/lack thereof between Q and Guinan would be interesting as well. _________________ Ok to print!

You do know they've done post homecoming novels for Voyager right? |

To be honest I didn't. I am in an awkward spot with Star Trek as I was born in 85' so TOS and TNG were not as big of factors to me until later since TNG was just starting then. DS9 was the one that grabbed me when I was about 10 and have tried to watch all the series since then. With them on netflix now I can watch Enterprise since I missed a lot of episodes back when it was airing. I never had as much time for S.T. in print until now so I am trying to get the IDW books and the Titan novels. _________________ Ok to print!

Well there are basically two Voyager relaunches after the series. The first four novels by Christie Golden came out a while ago, and are... a bit meh really... But more recently Kirsten Beyer has started writing them. These new ones are set after the crossover trilogy Destiny (which would also be a great place to start reading Trek books) and see Voyager return to the Delta Quadrant. I'd say the Beyer books are some of the best Trek there is. _________________ Numerically challenged drone

Given Q's interest in humanity, and where Guinan was living (at least at the end of the 18th century) we could have a really interesting "secret history of Earth before the Eugenics War" story. Maybe throw in Gary Seven for 60s/70s flavour. _________________ Ohh 'Eck! |
