i loved hearing that there were more origin issues coming out but i don't look forward to trying to figure out where each trade takes place. i hope spotlight 6 onward takes place after the current origins and before the chuck dixon series. for simplicity sake. any word on what time period they will occur? the transformer spotlights are all over the place. _________________ Thank-you IDW for supporting G.I. Ummm... I kinda don't see what you are asking. Origin takes place before both the Cobra and main G.I.Joe series. Those are the two books that should be confusing you on when they take place. (I tend to think at the same time.) Also...no Joe Spotlight issues are due out yet except the Helix one. You won't even have to worry about placing that one anywhere as it takes place in the crappy movie universe. So what do they have to do with anything? Yes, the Joe Spotlights could very well jump around in time just like the Transformer ones, but they should not be that hard to place somewhere in a timeline once they get going. Unless Origin starts jumping around to a time BEFORE Hawk started putting the team together, but why would IDW do that? Anything earlier will probably get told as a flashback. ( Like SE and SS's past maybe?) Not trying to bust your chops or anything there just isn't much to go on right now beyond a few solicatations and 5 months of issues. |

I'm really hoping IDW does NOT release too many (if any) G.I. Joe spotlights. With the Transformers books--to me, at least--it tends to get a little difficult keeping track of where they fit in chronologically. Instead of "spotlights" G.I. Joe already has the ORIGINS ongoing to tell those kinds of stories. _________________

i was getting at what rodan said much more clearly. if scarlett and mainframe are simply one-shot tales would they be placed in a trade that takes place after cobra what would that do if the other tales took place after cobra's big reveal in the main series? i'm already having problems with the transformers spotlight trades on where to place them in my straight through reading run. anal i am. _________________ Thank-you IDW for supporting G.I.
