Wow, after so long we are finally getting an adaptation. Sounds like it will be good.

Wow, that sounds great since ST:II was one of the coolest movies.

Hope they decide to do some 'background work' too, like the plan with ST: Countdown for the new movie, because it would be nice to know how exactly Chekov came to know Khan even he wasn't part of the Crew in that Season (so I've heard, but maybe he just wasn't serving on the bridge in these days)

Well Chekov ends up as "tactical/security officer" in the films, maybe he was a "grunt" during the Khan crisis.

yeah, that was my opinion too...

by the way, anyone read 'Eugenics Wars' I & II and 'To reign in Hell'? Akll three books written by Greg Cox and shed some light into the early and later life of Khan. Cool thing especially about the Eugenics Wars is, that the author did a great job of bringing real and trek history together and a great spy-tale with a major appearence from Gary Seven. In this books are, sadly only mentioned, other missions Gary and Roberta had, but, even I suggested it to the author, he never went into writhing some of them down too. Good that IDW finally did some work here Very Happy

It may have been Ricardo Montalban who said that during an off screen segment during "Space Seed," Khan needed to use the washroom and, as he was entering, Chekov was finishing up. Khan then discovers Chekov had used the last of the toilet paper and vows "I never forget a face... Mr. Chekov!"

Whether it's a serious or humourous explanation, it'll be fine provided it's not a convoluted explanation. It would be a groaner if it was revealed Khan knew Chekov's face and name because he was reviewing the Enterprise's personnel files. (while feasible, it would just leave you wondering why Khan would even do so)

I also read on Ryall's blog that the Wrath of Khan adaptation will be three issues released bi-weekly during (barring changes in plan) June and July.

This is off topic, but it seems to be the only appropriate place to put this. Majel Barret-Roddenberry died today.

http://trekweb.com/articles/2008/12/18/Majel-BarrettRoddenberry-Dies-at-Age-76.shtml

Majel was really the only person to have participated in some form with every incarnation of Star Trek. It was a shock to learn that not only had she died, but she had been suffering from leukemia.

Duo, you probably could've started a thread for that. I was pretty shocked when I found out. Star Trek's "first lady" has gone to the stars. My condolences to the Roddenberry family, especially Rod.
