In issue 1, page 20, the flashback to the original battle between Autobots,Decepticons and Thunderwing:
Optimus Prime says: " As if bent on one last, selfless act of sacrifice, it took our sin... and swallowed it whole."
According to the reviews in TFW2005.com:
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=103319
| Quote: | | During the apocalyptic conflict, however, it was said that the creature committed “one last act of self-sacrifice, it took our sin… and swallowed |
It seems to me that Thunderwing did something great (self-sarcrifice) to save the planet. I am guessing maybe at that time, Thunderwing realized that he did something wrong , and then he gave up his power and let the fire from Autobots and Decepticons destroy himself. That is my understanding of self-sarcrifice.
However, this detail never got further explained in the following issues. I sitll believe Thunderwing is a good guy in nature , but twisted by his technology. _________________ Transformers,Zone,Zone,Zone...... |

What that was exactly, I have no idea. _________________

You have to read the previous sentence to get the whole meaning.
"But even then it was not the creature that yielded but Cybertron itself! As if bent on one last, selfless act of sacrifice, it took our sin... and swallowed it whole."
Thunderwing is their sin and Cybertron sacrificed itself.
Basically, they couldn't hurt Thunderwing but all their firepower was successful in burying him inside Thunderhead Pass. |

Makes sense, and explains why Megatron said that Primes talk mystical nonsense _________________

| Which is one reason I didn't care much for Optimus Prime in Stormbringer. I find him much more interesting in Escalation where he behaves like a military commander, hasn't read #5 yet though. |

The planet collapsed to bury Thunderwing as a sacrifice for the TFs. _________________ loadagain.deviantart.com
Don'ts:
1) Using "to" when it should be "too"
2) Saying something "peaked" your curiosity, when in fact your curiosity was "piqued".

In Issue 2, page 2. During the dialogue between Bludgeon and Jetfire, Bludgeon mentioned " We visited this apocalypse on ourselves. We took something magnificent and turned it into a wasterland!"
So what is the exact meaning of "something magnificent". Does it mean the body of Thunderwing which was retrieved by Bludgeon in Thunderpass? Or it means the resources of Cybertron and Cybertron was turned into a wasterland by all Transformers. _________________ Transformers,Zone,Zone,Zone...... |

I'm guessing the "Something Magnificant" was Cybertron, I got the impression that Bludgeon and Co. were trying to restore to it's former glory, in their own wierd way. _________________
